Iran’s Major Warning: “If War Starts Again, It Will Turn Into a Global Conflict”

Tehran, Iran, April 19, 2026 (LPC). A senior Iranian military official has warned that if a war against Iran is restarted, it could escalate into a major global conflict. Brigadier General Mohammad Reza of the Iranian armed forces said in his statement that the United States cannot eliminate Iran’s missile‑manufacturing capability under any circumstances. He added that Iran is further strengthening its defensive power and is fully prepared to respond to any potential attack.

Issuing a stern message to the United States, he said that if a war is imposed on Iran again, the response this time will be far more severe, and Iran will retaliate using the advanced missiles developed in recent months. On 28 February, the United States and Israel carried out large‑scale attacks on Iran, after which Iran also launched retaliatory strikes. Both sides remained engaged in intense tensions and clashes for nearly 40 days.

Later, due to Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts, both countries agreed to a two‑week ceasefire. Following that, on 11 April, high‑level delegations from the U.S. and Iran held talks in Islamabad, which were considered a significant step toward reducing tensions. Analysts say that such statements from Iran reflect the rising tensions in the region, and if diplomatic efforts fail, the situation could deteriorate further.
